When we first started, we asked ourselves, ‘Does India really need another curtain brand?’. Yet, when we looked around, we realized that curtains available in India were rather uninspiring. The market was flooded with unremarkable fabrics, harsh palettes and boring designs; the only good ones were exorbitant. We wanted to design the kind of curtains we would use in our own homes but could not find here, ones that reflected a global aesthetic and yet were rooted in the Indian context. And thus, Tranquebar was born.

Invite the essence of spring into your home with the “Yoni Curtains”, featuring lively birds on an understated backdrop of branches. These curtains lend a natural, airy look to any space, and are perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, studies, and kids’ rooms. Crafted with high quality, 300 TC cotton fabric, their thickness is just right, allowing a moderate amount of light to enter. All our curtains are pre-shrunk, and are machine or hand washable at low temperature.
As a general guide, for proper fullness, curtains should measure 2-3 times the width of your window/door.
